Welcome to World of Mysteria

I’m building a world I want to get lost in.

Somewhere you can head out with a plan and come back with a completely different story. Train a skill, work on your house, meet someone new—or follow something strange just to see where it leads.

That’s the idea behind World of Mysteria, a 2D online world built around exploration, progression, and the people you share it with.

The vision is a massive world with secrets to uncover, stories that take unexpected turns, and places worth getting curious about. There will be skills to train and a home to make your own. I want the quieter parts of life in Mysteria to feel just as worthwhile as setting off on an adventure.

I’ve also built the technology underneath it: Ether Engine, along with a custom programming language called EtherScript, designed around the way I think. I can change code while the game is running and see it come to life without stopping and starting everything again.

That freedom is a big part of what makes building Mysteria exciting. The engine is built for smooth 60 fps play on iOS, with lighting and visual effects that bring depth and movement to its 2D world. I want it to feel nostalgic, with the responsiveness and polish of something modern.

The engine foundation is built, and development of the game is ramping up quickly. Systems for progression and customizing your home are already taking shape. Now comes filling the world with places, people, and things worth discovering.

Mysteria isn’t open to public play yet. I’ll be sharing more here as it grows.

Welcome to the beginning.
